As an expert handwriting examiner with 17 years of experience at NCIS Norway, Halvor Brustad offers specialized services in forensic document analysis and examination. His background in both Norwegian and international trials gives him the expertise to handle complex cases that require a high level of professional precision.

Special areas include the examination of forged signatures, analysis of threat letters, and investigation of legal documents such as contracts, wills, and agreements. He uses forensic laboratory equipment for thorough analyses, among other things. IR luminescence and reflection, ESDA indented writing examinations and a stereomicroscope, which provide detailed information about writing, manipulations, and hidden information on documents.
